COVID-19 AT LAUNCH LOUISVILLE
Every corner of our world is aware or dealing with the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and our thoughts go out to all who have been affected.
For our little entrepreneurial community of nearly 100 Members, the health and well-being of our Members is our first priority. Second, we are doing what we can to support the health of the greater community and follow the lead of our health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus.
The effects of the COVID-19 crisis has the potential to be felt hardest by entrepreneurs and small businesses. With that in mind, Launch is committed to staying open and available to our Members, unless governmental or health official guidance instruct us otherwise.
As a community, all Members share in the responsibility of keeping Launch safe as we go about our increasingly important businesses.
WHAT LAUNCH IS DOING
Launch Louisville is committed to making sure we provide Members everything they need to stay safe. This includes hand-sanitizer, hand soap at all sinks, disinfecting wipes for disinfecting surfaces, and other cleaning supplies – located at the front desk or in the supply closets across from the front desk, under the stairs behind the mailboxes.
In addition, we are going to increase the frequency of professional cleaning to keep Launch Louisville as clean as possible.
WHAT MEMBERS CAN DO
Everyone working together is the best way to keep Launch safe and healthy for each other. We are asking Members to please cancel or postpone any meetings or gatherings, especially with non-member attendees, until we get through this crisis. Our primary Members and team and their health and safety must be our priority. Non-member guests, while important, are a secondary priority.
As such, Launch will review any scheduled events, gatherings, or meetings and discuss with Members a plan to postpone those events until we can mitigate the associated risk. Launch has access to a Zoom account for Members who would like to transition in-person meetings to virtual meetings or conference calls. Ask Dave or Mission Control on Slack with assistance setting that up.
Members need to pitch in to keep Launch Louisville safe for everyone in the building. Make sure you are cleaning up after yourselves, putting dishes in the dishwasher (we will see to running it), using disinfectant wipes, discarding trash, etc.
Most importantly, if you are feeling any flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT COME to Launch Louisville and self-quarantine to protect your fellow Members.
“Social distancing” is appropriate at this time. Avoid handshaking, and if you are a coworking member, please spread out. There’s plenty of space.
We appreciate your understanding that our day-to-day lives may look different as we navigate through this time together. Only as a last resort, will we close Launch if we feel it is in the best interest of our Members or if we are directed to do so by government authorities. In any such situation, we will work to keep disruption of Launch temporary.
